Use this solar calculator/compatibility calculator to help determine the electrical compatibility of PV modules with the APsystems microinverter family. Refer to the PV module manufacturer's datasheet for correct values. All fields are required.
Parameter Introduction
Voc (Voltage at Open Circuit)
The Voc is the voltage that is read with a voltmeter or multimeter when the module is not connected to any load.
Vmp(Voltage at Maximum Power)
The Vmp is the voltage that is read with a voltmeter or multimeter when the module is producing maximum power.
Temperature Coefficient of Voc
Coefficient used to determine effect of temperature on a PV module's open circuit voltage. Contact your manufacturer if this value is not listed on the datasheet.
Isc (Short Circuit Current)
This is the amount of current that flows through the electrical leads when shorted--essentially the maximum amount of current that the PV module can source.
Temperature Coefficient of Isc
Coefficient used to determine effect of temperature on a PV module's short circuit current. Contact your manufacturer if this value is not listed on the datasheet.
Expected Highest Temperature
Enter the highest average temperature when sunlight shines on the PV array. The ASHRAE Handbook is the recommended source for weather data in a particular location or you can look up the Extreme Low Temperatures for your location by clicking here.
Expected Lowest Temperature
Enter the lowest average temperature when sunlight shines on the PV array. The ASHRAE Handbook is the recommended source for weather data in a particular location or you can look up the Extreme Low Temperatures for your location by clicking here.
